Hope: “Here’s what I’d do differently: I’d love like I’m not scared, give when it’s not fair, live life for another, take time for a brother.” For King & Country, “Fix My Eyes On You”
The Word of God: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
Consider This: What were you doing this time last year? Thinking about where you might be going with your family for spring break? Thinking about what flowers you might be planting in your yard. Oh, how a year makes such a difference in our lives. Or how does one week make a difference in our lives? This time 2 weeks ago, we were considering how the coronavirus was affecting the people of China and other nations around the world. Today, it’s here in our country.
So how are you and your family doing? The reality of this whole situation is still changing from day to day. My hope for you and your family is that all this “change” has helped you to refocus on your relationship with our Creator. God is not surprised by anything that is happening in our little world or His huge universe that He spoke into existence. Did you catch that? He (God) spoke and all things came into being. As Psalm 139 reminds us, “You knit me together in my mother’s womb”
You are still His creation and the God of hope is still in charge, you can trust in Him.
Prayer: Dear God, we acknowledge that You spoke and set this world into existence. Remind us, Lord, You are our hope and we can confidently trust in You today and in all our tomorrows. Amen.
